KITCHEN – MATERIALS
Everything starts with the selection of material. A customer, architect or designer can choose from four basic types of stone:
GRANITE
This is the most classic and simultaneously qualitatively most suitable material for worktops. It’s due to its extreme hardness and excellent resistant to mechanical damage. It’s also used in industrial kitchens for its durability. The color range granite is fully sufficient for selecting uniform and very distinctive decors, the final product always unique.
QUARTZITE
It stands out for its extreme resistance and offers interesting colors and structures. We import quartzite directly from Brazil and have it in stock at our office in Sluštice near Prague.
MARBLE
This material does not possess the toughness of granite, but it usually has more diverse colors and is cozier. In the Czech Republic it is still little used for worktops, however, quality maintenance and an appropriate choice surface treatment can achieve similar qualities. In Western Europe, especially in Italy marble it is applied even in the most luxurious interiors. The advantage is the possibility of revitalizing surface without dismonuting and economical processing.
TECHNISTONE, SILESTONE, QUARELLA ARTIFICIAL STONES…
So-called quartz stones, thus conglomerates of natural materials with various types of binders. The quality material synthetic stone is determined by the proportion of natural components in percent. The resistance is qualitatively ranked among marble and granite. A big advantage is the uniform colors that are in demand, especially in the modern types of kitchen. Surprisingly, the disavantage is its higher starting costs in particular.
